The Mining Museum exhibits minerals and other items in the first-floor exhibition space of the Nigiwai Koryukan AU in Area Nakaichi.
The current exhibit is "Carbonate Nodules”.
Please come and see the mysterious nodules in the strata!

The exhibition "The Daira mine in Shirakami Mountains" was held at the Shirakami-Sanchi World Heritage Conservation Center, Fujisatokan (supported by the Mining Museum).
The special exhibition "Shirakami's Mine "Tara" Exhibition" introduces culture and history by displaying valuable materials and specimens of the "Daira Mine" that once existed in the Shirakami Mountains.
A specimen from the museum's collection, "Galena from the Daira Mine" will also be on display, so please come and see it.
Specimens of the Mining Museum were published in "Picture Book, LIVE: Minerals, Rocks, and Fossils" by Gakken Holdings Company, Ltd.
Seventy specimens from the Mining Museum were featured in "The Picture Book, LIVE: Minerals, Rocks and Fossils" published on December 1, 2020.
The book is very beautiful and has a lot of contents. This book is intended for children, but can be enjoyed by adults as well.
